Nuclear Power:
Nuclear power has been given a REALLY bad name; However, the power generated from those power plants is actually quite clean in the long run, and we have been working towards the tech to use up the waste created.
IMAGINE, if we could power our cities of nuclear power, which is a lot cleaner than people seem to realize, and than use the waste to power all of our electronics, including eventually, our little electric cars?
I don't understand really, why we keep leaning towards windmills that are subject to the whims of the weather for giving us power, when we could just use nuclear power.
And to think, we have had these little radioactive batteries for a while now – the military uses them, deep sea divers, researchers for volcano's and way up north in Antarctica – there are a lot of long term applications for these little batteries for the multitude of small devices that simply need a steady trickle of power.
Why, I ask, has this information not made it out to the wider world? There could be a lot of problems solved by these little guys….

I remember hearing about this a while back, though it didn't start really getting out and being fully researched until about 2018. This article was written in 2020.

Essentially, they take foil like thin layers of radioactive martial sandwiched between semiconductors; and as the nuclear material naturally decays, it emits high-energy electrons. Almost like how a solar panel works, only the semiconductors soak up beta particles instead of photons.

The way this is made, with betavoltaics, has the same danger as an exit sign for radioactivity – and the battery walls are generally enough to stop any emissions.
